Lorenz finish 4th in the Final in Ostricourt.

Start of the Final A in Ostricourt on the first row for Lorenz (101).

This was my first time in Franciacorta and I felt good from the beginning. The testing in the days before was promising. Speed was very good.

Qualifying went very well with pole in my group and 2nd overall In the races I lacked some track experience, especially in the beginning and at the starts. I had to do some comebacks, I had a crash, but I also managed a great p2. The racing was hard and battles fierce, I enjoyed it a lot

I started the final on Saturday in p15 and managed to go up to p6 ar the finish. Very though race but glad with the result

All in all, very happy with my 1st Euroseries weekend at Franciacorta. Great experience, important that we had immediately the speed to fight at the front

Big thanks to my team @fusion_motorsport and mechanic @mikevanvugt1 for the support

Many thanks as well to @fusion_motorsport_benelux @basharting @aventus_power for their assistance and coaching me during this @iameeuroseries raceweekend

Thibaut Courtois, one of the world’s best goalkeepers, is also a motorsport enthusiast. So much so that the Real Madrid goalkeeper has founded his own single-seater and karting team, TC Racing. The team, currently competing in the Spanish Formula 4 Championship and the Eurocup-3, is growing rapidly, as evidenced by its first podium finish a few days ago in the Spanish Winter Formula 4 Championship.

But the man from Bree has certainly not forgotten his Belgian roots! In 2026, the TC Racing team will begin a partnership with the IAME Series Benelux, the championship organised by IAME Belgium under the auspices of the Royal Automobile Club of Belgium. In practical terms, the champion of the X30 Senior category will be offered two days of testing at the wheel of a Formula 4 car, the premier class of single-seaters. The perfect opportunity to launch a career in motor racing! (www.autosport.be)

The 2025 season comes to a close, some reflections on my Junior rookie year.

All in all I had quite a good year. Very glad to drive the bigger kart finally . Learnt a lot during the year. Made it to p3 in rookie standings Benelux, just missing out to p2 but I skipped a race during summer.

Highpoints of the year for me were the Euro round at Mariembourg and the World Finals in Valencia where I made a strong comeback to p20 out of 112 after poor qualifying

Lookin’ forward to 2026!!

IWF25 - Valencia - X30 Junior

This is Lorenz's first experience at this level and on the Valencia circuit, which he is unfamiliar with.

Race story 1

IWF Valencia 2025 The first part of the IWF is over. A brief summary: Lorenz arrived in Valencia on Sunday evening with mechanic Mike van Gucht and team manager Bas Harting. It was his first time here, and he had never ridden or trained here before. Monday and Tuesday were official training days. Lorenz finished 12th overall out of 112 riders in the Junior series.

Race story 2

Last day After the heats, where we were 38th overall out of 112, the top 72 can still compete today, with 36 ultimately going through to the final. The final was still possible with p38, but everything had to go perfectly.

It will be an hour of calculations and waiting for the final results of the two Superheats. But we are still close with 35th place in the overall standings! πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜†βœŒ Lorenz can compete in the final, but from the back row.

Race story 3

In the final, there is no pressure, everything is a bonus. Lorenz is involved in a collision at the start and has to close the gap with the pack for two laps. But luckily there is nothing wrong with the kart and this time it has speed πŸ€πŸ‘ Lorenz drives well at the front and gains 15 places. Reported at p20 πŸ˜‰ Another very mature race, well done. 2nd Belgian too Lorenz had a wonderful and instructive week with a great final day βœ…πŸ‘Œ

Classification: 20iest/112 - 2nd Belgian.
